Golden Artistry Jewlery Design is a small shop founded by Terry Whyte, a man who loves what he does and it shows in his work. A master goldsmith, Terry designs, manufactures, and sells custom jewelry that are each their own one of a kind piece. The long time surfer previously lived in Honolulu before moving to San Diego, every piece Terry crafts has a name inspired by his oceanic muse. Over time, Terry has perfected his own formula for white gold, in conjunction with gems cut himself, he produces some of the most unique and carefully crafted pieces in San Diego. Part of Terry's motivation that has kept his business running for over twenty seven years is his absolutely adoration for what he does and the fact that he already passes on his skills and experiences to our youth. Terry has several students who come to the shop and learn how to make jewelry, be creative, and understand how a business works. The time students spend at the shop can be used as credits toward their education, but the real experience and knowledge that Terry teaches may prove to be even more precious toward their futures. Terry's wave of inspiration continues as he already has a set of ocean inspired wedding bands planned for the future.   I decided I wanted a local artist to make my ring. I chose Golden Artistry because they were the kind of small town craftsman I was looking for. Terry was absolutely wonderful. He was so pleasant to talk to. He has been at that location for 27 years. I knew I was getting an artist I could trust with a solid history behind him. He took a lot of time to explain to me how much work was involved. How he had to calculate and measure. Then the amount of hand work involved. My finished ring was beautiful and much better than I expected. He is a solid guy you can trust with your most precious metals.
